The livestock protection courses are conducted by experienced livestock farmers with qualifications in livestock protection advice and are designed to be very practical. During 1-, 2- or 3-day beginner courses, the participants learn the basic knowledge and skills for effective herd protection in different locations – from farm pastures to alpine pastures. In the advanced courses, special topics such as livestock protection dogs, herding including herding dogs or fencing in particularly difficult terrain with natural barriers are taught. The courses have a modular structure, which can easily be adapted according to local requirements.
