In the midst of the rugged beauty of the mountains, a few idealists brave the wind, the weather – and the wolf. This new “Land of the Mountains” documentary accompanies modern shepherds like Anna, who takes her sheep into the solitude of the mountains every summer, as well as hunters, organic farmers and conservationists, who are all trying in their own way to restore an ancient balance: that between man, animal and wilderness. Between traditional Pastoralism, impressive nature and the return of the large predators, the film tells of courage, devotion and the search for new ways to live with the wolf.
