The LIFEstockProtect webinar series was launched with great success in 2025. More than 1,000 registrations and almost as many active participants have shown just how much interest there is in practical solutions for livestock protection. The webinars, which last up to three hours, offer direct insights from the field, many of them even live from the stables and pastures. The topics range from herd protection measures, funding opportunities and the use of livestock guarding dogs to innovative approaches for alpine pasture and grazing management. Particularly valuable for the participants: plenty of time for individual questions to the speakers.
Special highlights: Livestock guarding dogs presented live from the pasture
One of the most popular webinars was the presentation of five livestock guarding dog breeds, which attracted almost 300 participants. Mastín Español, Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, Kangal, Cane da Pastore della Sila and Maremmano-Abruzzese were not only explained in theory – but presented live from the stables and pastures of five farms. Participants were able to experience at first hand how these dogs work and are integrated into everyday life.
