New livestock protection courses in Austria

Would you like to implement livestock protection measures on your farm? LIFEstockProtect is offering further livestock protection courses in May for all those interested!

These one-day, German-language courses are taking place at various farms in Austria and will be led by experienced livestock owners with qualifications in livestock protection consultation. The courses have a modular structure, which can easily be adapted according to local requirements. In addition, they have a strong practical element and are highly subsidised for participants.

The following courses will take place in May:

  • 13.05.2022 – Electric permanent fences on meadows (Tyrol): This course will cover the basics of livestock protection and fence building. This course contains a strong practical element, in which participants will construct an electric permanent fence for cattle, as well as identify and solve challenging areas. There will be plenty of room for exchange and discussion between livestock owners.

  • 18.05.2022 – Electric permanent fences on meadows with small livestock (Carinthia): This course will cover the basics of livestock protection and fence building. This course contains a strong practical element, in which participants will construct an electric permanent fence for cattle, as well as identify and solve challenging areas. There will be plenty of room for exchange and discussion between livestock owners.

  • 07.06.2022 – Livestock protection for reserve game (Carinthia): Basics of livestock protection and mobile fence building will be taught theoretically. The course contains a strong practical element, where participants will build an electric fence at an existing game enclosure as well as recognising and solving challenging areas. There will be plenty of room for exchange and discussion between livestock owners.
